Did you know about it ?
  • At the Québec-Lévis and Sorel-Tracy–Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola ferries, passengers pay their fare in cash. Payment by Visa, MasterCard or Interac can be made at the Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout crossing.
  • The Société spends more than $ 500 000 in training, that is to say 2.1% of its aggregate remuneration. Close to 50% of the training activities are related to security.
  • In spite of the weather and all unforeseen events that may occur during the year, the Société's fleet has made 99.1% of the scheduled crossings, according to the last published 2006-2007 annual report.
  • The Société cares about the protection of the environment. Since 1993, it has set up procedures that aim at avoiding any pouring of hydrocarbons at sea, at keeping the cleanliness of the bilges in the engine rooms and at treating liquid waste thrown out at sea.
  • All the ships of the Société visit the dry dock of a shipyard every 2, 4 or 5 years. The hull, propeller, rudder, stem and stern propulsive units are inspected and repaired if necessary. Important mechanical works are done on that occasion.
