  • It is highly recommended to drivers to make a reservation for the MataneÏ–Baie-Comeau–Godbout Ferry.  For all other ferries, be present 10 to 15 minutes before time of departure.
  • At the Québec-Lévis and Sorel-Tracy–Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola ferries, passengers pay their fare in cash. Payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Interac can be made at the Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout crossing.
  • The Société is an important employer in the regions where it operates a ferry service. Moreover, it contributes to the regional economy by the numerous goods it obtains locally to fulfill the different needs of the ships, terminals and ferries’ offices.
  • The Société collaborates with the Sécurité civile du Québec during events that require citizens’ mobility or the transport of goods.
  • The N. M. Félix-Antoine-Savard relieves the usual ferries undergoing repair, maintenance and inspection works.

Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout

Visit many tourist regions without retracing your steps aboard the Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout ferry.The crossing will give you a rest period while offering you a magnificent view over the St-Lawrence estuary for more than two hours. Restaurant and bar services as well as videos will enliven your crossing. The M. V. Camille-Marcoux, an icebreaker ferry with a capacity of 600 passengers and
126 vehicles, offers 4 to 6 daily departures all year round. Reservations for vehicles are necessary.

Reservations

Pedestrian passengers cannot reserve their crossing. Reservations are only for motorists and groups of 15 or more passengers.

New reservations and reservation changes or cancellations must be made during reservation office hours.

We accept reservations up to 90 days in advance and no later than 3 hours before the scheduled ferry departure. A credit card number is required to guarantee your reservation (Visa or
MasterCard).

Drivers or passengers with disabilities should let us know upon reservation so that they may be assigned a place with easy access to the passenger lounge.

Special authorization must be obtained for oversized vehicles at the time of reservation.

Reservation Cancellation or Modification

 Automobiles, snow-bikes, motorcycles

  • A reservation must be cancelled no later than 3:00 pm the day before the planned departure.
  • Penalty:  any reservation which has not been modified or cancelled in accordance with the above condition will incur a 20$ fee to the client.

Vehicles longer than 6m, other than automobiles

·        A reservation must be cancelled no later than 3:00 pm two days before the planned departure.

·        Penalty:  any reservation which has not been modified or cancelled in accordance with the above condition will incur a 75$ fee to the client.

Important 

  • The vehicle described when making the reservation must be the one that comes to the ferry crossing for boarding.  In the event that additional equipment (trailer, baggage rack, bicycle rack, etc) has not been mentioned at the moment of the reservation, the administration of the crossing will be compelled to cancel the reservation.  
  •  Reservations are not transferable from one vehicle to another.
  • Each client has the responsibility to respect the terms of the reservation they have made.
  • In the event that a departure is cancelled, all reservations will automatically be cancelled for this departure.

In the event that crossings are cancelled, reservations for those departures will be automatically cancelled.

Recommendations for a pleasant and safe crossing


Passengers
  • Our ferries are designed to accommodate people with disabilities.
    Please advise our attendants as soon as you arrive at the crossing
    so that they may assign you a place that will enable you to enjoy
    our onboard services.
  • Passengers traveling with pets must keep them on a leash
    or in a cage. At Matane–Baie-Comeau–Godbout crossing, pets must be in a cage.
    Few cages are available onboard.
  • Please keep the stairways clear during docking.

Car and truck drivers

  • On boarding, wait for the green light or attendant’s instructions.
  • Drive slowly when boarding the ferry.
  • Always park in the space you are assigned.
  • Do not move your vehicle once it is parked, and remember
    to engage the emergency brake.
  • To improve onboard air quality and respect the environment,
    please turn off your engine. On landing, please start your
    engine at the very last minute.
  • Leave no articles in plain sight, and lock your doors.
  • Use caution when opening your doors and walking between
    vehicles.
  • On landing, wait for directions before driving onto the ramp.
Motorcyclists
  • Please keep your vehicle parked during docking.

Cyclists

  • Please walk your bike on the boarding ramps.

Snowmobile drivers

  • Install front wheels on your snowmobile to make it easier to move
    on the ferry and prevent damage.
